From extensive research to expeditions, there are many important aspects that take time and consideration to restore a biodiverse habitat.

Seed Discovery

Our team goes on expeditions several times a year to locate, map and collect seeds from endangered and vulnerable tree species.

Nursery Maintence

The seeds we gather from expeditions are then grown in one of our nurseries which are located in several indigenous communities in Darién.

Restoration

When seeds are strong enough to be planted in the forest, we take them to depleted land to begin restoration.

Indigenous Rights

Indigenous people have a right to their land and protection from outside exploitation. Without consideration of their protection, preservation of the forest is not possible.

Land Protection

Protecting primary forest is at the core of what we do. When locating depleted land, we look for connections to primary forest as to connect the biodiversity into new forest.
